In addition to the Gothic Collegiate Church and the Romanesque Carner, which are always open during the day, the rich collections of the Collegiate Museum provide an interesting insight into the more than 900-year history of the Benedictine monastery. On display are exhibits from almost all periods of the monastery's history, from remains of the Romanesque and Gothic furnishings of various churches to systematically arranged collections of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The presentation in the anteroom to the museum gives an overview of the history, present-day tasks and economy of the monastery and explains the most important aspects of Benedictine spirituality and monastic life.

The museum is open to visitors on guided tours.
Both the Gothic St. Peter's Church (donated in 1424), with its three winged altars, and the art history collection hold outstanding evidence of 15th- and 16th-century carved sculpture and panel painting. Sculptures and paintings from Baroque to Biedermeier complete the monastic collection.
On loan to the monastery, Russian icons from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries are currently on display in a small cabinet.
In the Festive Prelates' Hall there are two portraits of Emperor Franz II and his wife Maria Theresia, as well as the painting gallery with all the St. Lambrecht abbots, in addition to pictures of the Eppenstein founders and benefactors.
The Volkkundliche Sammlung of Father Romuald Pramberger, collected at the beginning of the 20th century, shows objects from the everyday life of the farmers and tradesmen of earlier times.
In a separate room, some of the more than 250 baroque figures of the St. Lambrechter Nativity scene are presented, which is set up annually in the collegiate church from December 21 to February 2.
Finally, the famous Bird Museum of Father Blasius Hanf (1808-1892) presents the diverse bird life around the Furtnerteich in about 600 exhibits of 259 different species.
