The largely ruined castle of the former bailiffs of Hunolstein is a first highlight of the hike. This is followed by wonderful views over the Hunsrück heights and the wildly romantic section of the trail along the Dhron. The absolute highlight of the dream circuit is the 800-metre-long path through the Hölzbachklamm gorge. The water of the gorge flowing down to the valley provides a dreamlike backdrop.
