Haus Gilbert

Haus Gilbert is a small, quiet apartment house located in a residential area of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Salzburger Land.
Mühlbach is a family-friendly, cosy and affordable village amongst some of the most beautiful skiing and hiking landscapes in the Austrian Alps.
We are about 45 minutes drive from Salzburg airport.

We have three apartments for guests to rent, (40 sq m; 60 sq m and 39 sq m plus balconies) each sleeping 2-4 people (one apartment sleeps 5).

We are not suitable for young groups.

The apartments are self-contained, self-catering apartments, each with a well equipped kitchen/ living room; one or two separate double bedrooms (with an additional sofa bed) and a private shower/bathroom with W.C.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price, as is our on-site parking with one car parking place for each apartment. Ski storage, boot dryer/ warmer and warm room are also available at Haus Gilbert.
Each apartment has free Wi-Fi/ WLAN access and cable TV.

The apartment house also has a range of DVDs, games and books which guests are welcome to borrow.

We take the cleanliness of the house and apartments very seriously and so for our guests we currently provide: washing up liquid, sponges, cloths, washing brush, tea towels, bin bags, kitchen roll, multi surface cleaner, toilet rolls and hand soap.

The village centre with supermarket, bakery and restaurants is only a 3 minute walk from the property. We also offer a morning bread service for guests.

Ski-rental is available in the village and at the ski lift station.

In winter, guests have access to fantastic skiing on the doorstep. The ski bus stop is just a 2 minutes walk from the house and it is possible to ski back to the house from the slopes.

The village is part of the Ski amadé region which gives buyers of the lift pass access to over 270 lifts in the region all for the same price. Mühlbach is linked to a number of villages by ski lifts and runs enabling skiers to be ski tourists and venture beyond a single ski slope, travelling to neighbouring villages of Dienten, Maria Alm and beyond.
This is the Königstour and is 35km in length, taking in 6 peaks and 7000m of slopes.
Above the village via the Kings Cab lift is the Blue Tomato snow park catering for snowboarders and freeriders. We also have the Arthurhaus Hochkeil ski area, which is smaller but is also perfect for all abilities.

The Ski Amadé region plays host to a number of important winter events including:
January 6th- The Bischofshofen FIS World Ski Jumping (part of the 4 hills competition) (9km down the road).
January- The Schladming FIS Men’s Slalom night ski. (55km away)
January- The FIS Women’s tour events at Flachau (37km away)and Zauchensee (34km away)

The region has a number of great tourist activities and locations, principle among them being the beautiful city of Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
